Rosters & Player Movement
Stage-based movement, free agency, and roster rules.
Stage Movement Policy
You can only be on one active team at a time, and whether you can switch teams or sign as a free agent depends on the current stage of the season.
| Season Stage | Inter-Team Transfers | Player Transfer Cap | Free Agent Signings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Off-Season | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Exhibitions | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Regular Season | 3 per club | Max 1 per player | Unlimited |
| Playoffs | Locked | Locked | Locked |
Roster Size Limits
Every team must register with at least 35 players and can carry up to 130 active players on its roster. Only the top 49 rated players who have played a match count toward Roster Strength.
| Boundary | Player Count | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Registration Minimum | 35 Players | Minimum roster size required to register for a season |
| Roster Strength Lineup | 49 Players | Top rated active players averaged for Roster Strength |
| Maximum Roster Cap | 130 Players | Maximum active players a team can hold at once |
Free Agents vs. Inter-Team Transfers
Signing a brand-new player from the community does not use up your team's inter-team transfer spots.
- Free agents: Players who have not been on any league team's roster this season count as free agents. Teams can recruit new players whenever free agency is open for the current stage.
- Inter-team transfers: Players moving from another league team count against both the club's transfer quota and the individual player's transfer limit for that stage.
Dropping a Player Does Not Bypass Transfer Limits
Being released by your team does not make you a free agent for the rest of the season. If you were rostered on any league team this season and later join a different team, that signing still counts as an inter-team transfer.
If you were released and rejoin the same team you just left without playing elsewhere, rejoining does not use a transfer slot.
How Captains Submit Roster Changes
Roster additions and releases do not take effect until a league official approves them.
Captains submit roster updates through their private team submission link. Each submission goes into a review queue so officials can check stage transfer limits and EOS IDs before the player is added to the active roster and announced in Discord.
Why are rosters public?
Every player on the field must be on an active roster by EOS ID so opposing captains and players can verify lineups.
Name changes never break your profile: Your identity is tied to your 32-character EOS ID. When you change your in-game name, your display name updates automatically after your next match while keeping your roster spot, ratings, and medals intact.
What is public: Team pages list only team name, player in-game name, and EOS ID. Discord accounts and contact details are never shown publicly.
